Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update
UPDATED 12th DECEMBER 2020
With the ongoing Coronavirus situation in England, we want to re-assure all our member, parents and carers that 9th Romsey (West Wellow) are doing everything we can to ensure we are keeping everyone safe whilst attending Scouting activities.
Whilst it may be frustrating for people who want to get back to regular meetings, we are only returning when we feel it is safe. A lot of things have to be taken into consideration for face to face meetings to take place and these considerations vary between each section. Below are some of the changes we have implemented…
- Our Scout Hut has had various measures installed including hand sanitisers, dedicated entry and exit points, specific Hut User rules and increased information / warning posters. (The Scout Hut Risk Assessment and Scout Hut Use Rules can be downloaded HERE)
- Before any section can hold face to face meetings, a specific Coronavirus Risk Assessment has to be produced by the Leaders and approved by the Executive Committee and also Romsey District Scouts.
We know these are difficult and frustrating times for everyone, so please try and bear with us and we hope to back to together as normal in 2021!
